held on Saturday February 25th, 2012 at the City College pool in San Francisco. RSVP and invite friends to the San Francisco Regional Potluck Tournament on Facebook.

What

This will be a potluck event and players of all experience and skill levels are encouraged to attend. This event is especially meant to give players with NO tournament experience the opportunity to play a whole day of high level games with outstanding teammates. You're having fun at practice, now is your chance to taste competitive hockey

Even potluck teams will be created by a random system that accounts for player skill levels. Skill levels will be assigned before the draw based on your self-rating and input from fellow players. Please rate your skill level on the registration site. Teams will be announced when you arrive at the pool on Saturday.

When

Everything is happening on Saturday February 25th.
11:00 am: Unload walls at City College Swimming Pool. We need able bodies!
noon: Pool opens, we need able bodies in the water to setup the wall.
12:30 pm: Teams announced and hockey time begins
7pm - 8 pm: Clean pool and leave the building
8:30 pm: Dinner and party at 52 Isis St.

Where

Games played at City College Swimming Pool, Ocean Ave and Howth St, San Francisco, CA 94112. On the campus map the pool is on the middle of the right side. This is the same pool and wall setup as last year. It has two flat courts 7 feet deep. The bottom is very slightly smoother than King. Renting it is over $200/hr but we think it is worth the cost. Come and enjoy it!

Travel information for the pool:
Driving: The pool is conveniently located adjacent to I-280, about 1h from San Jose and 30 minutes from Oakland. Parking on campus is $3.
Transit: Balboa Park BART station is a 2 minute walk from the pool.
Biking: There is a big bike rack at the front door of the pool. Bike directions available at maps.google.com.

Register

Register and pay online with your credit/debit card by Monday February 13 for only $45! It is $60 until the night before or $75 at the door. You can pay over the phone at 1-800-838-3006. Our event id is 225699. There is a service charge per ticket. Buy the combined "Play and Banquet" ticket to save money.

If you have trouble buying your ticket online or want to register multiple people please contact us for information about paying directly.

All players need to be 2012 USOA members. If you haven't paid your dues and signed a waiver for 2012 you can do it online at usauwh.com/member or contact your club representative.

We’ll take money and waivers at the pool but it is inconvenient and may cost you an extra $10.

This year's awards were generously donated by truWest. Please visit their website at www.truwest.com for all your aquatic sports customization needs; from swimsuits to jackets, warmups, water polo caps, towels, bags and, well, pretty much everything! They're GREAT people!

Banquet

There will be a banquet and party immediately following the tournament at 52 Isis St, near Rainbow Grocery. We'll be cooking on a massive paella. Pay when you register or $15 at the door. We have a private garden with hot tub, campfire and maybe a slack line. Invite your friends! Note that car break-ins are common. You can bring bikes into the back. Isis St is a 10 minute walk from 16th St BART station.

Home hospitality

Contact us if you are looking for a place to sleep and we'll connect you with a friendly hockey player with some space. How many of you? Are you looking for something like a quiet bedroom or a floor spot near a party?
