To get started, you only need to bring is a swimsuit. SFUWH provides the equipment youth & adults need, and the training on how to use it.
Gear has safety requirements. Scroll the images on the right for examples!
Snorkel (no purge valve) + Mouthguard: to breathe and keep your teeth safe
Dive mask with separated lenses: can be plastic or tempered glass
Earguards: polo caps are usually used!
Fins: Any size works; soft, small fins are best for beginners.
Padded glove: protects your knuckles
Stick (black or white): to play!
As you progress, athletes should gradually procure your own gear starting around the 3 month mark. You will be more comfortable, and it allows the club to keep club gear available for new recruits.
